15 May 2015 - KUCHING: Sarawak Housing and Real Estate Developers Association (Sheda) has launched the official sale of booths for the Sheda Property Expo 2015 on Sept 25-27 at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching.
The expo will allow vendors from property-related trades to promote and highlight their projects and products.
Among the 100-over exhibitors which will be at the expo are property developers, building material manufacturers, suppliers, contractors, home furnishing, home appliances, home improvement, interior designers, estate agents, bankers, government agencies as well as non-governmental organisations and local councils.
Currently, over 60% of the booths have been occupied by key developers in the real estate industry in Sarawak, including main sponsors Ibraco Bhd, Naim Land Sdn Bhd, Lee Onn Construction Sdn Bhd, MJC City Development Sdn Bhd and CMS Property Development Sdn Bhd.
Other big players include RB Development Sdn Bhd, Timber Land Group, Elica Sdn Bhd and Instarmac Development Sdn Bhd. In addition, visitors and investors can expect to find property choices offered in up-and-coming prime locations in peninsular Malaysia and Australia.
Previously known as “SARBEX,” the expo was first held in 1998 and was officiated by Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg (then the minister of industrial development).
Last year, the expo attracted about 10,000 visitors and boasted 120 booths. Sheda president Joseph Wong Kee Liong said the expo this time hoped to attract more visitors and more exhibitors to showcase their projects and products.
A number of fun-filled activities will also be held during the three-day event. Although the programme is still at its planning stage, members of the public can expect something for everyone.
