September 21, 2015 – Kuching: Property developer-cum-theme park operator Sentoria Group Bhd has received a positive response for Ataria Resort, the first component of its Borneo Samariang Resort City (BSRC) project to be launched for sale.
Sentoria Borneo Land Sdn Bhd assistant general manager for sales and marketing Mohd Danial Yoong said about 40% of the resort’s 428 units had been taken up so far.
“I would say the response has been overwhelming and we expect sales to be very good,” he told reporters during the launch recently.
Ataria Resort, which comprises service apartments with a clubhouse and swimming pool, is scheduled to be completed in three years’ time.
Two types of service apartments are available – the 400 sq ft studio unit with a starting price of RM178,000 and 750 sq ft family suite starting at RM278,000.
They come with a nine-year guaranteed rental return of RM900 per month for the studio unit and RM1,400 for the family suite.
“When we sell the unit to a customer, we will lease it back and pay monthly rental for the next nine years,” Yoong said.
He said Ataria was one of many components in the BSRC project, located on a 500-acre site near Pasir Pandak.
“There will be a few theme parks, including a water park and safari park, as well as a lot of outdoor activities and river cruise. It will also have residential and commercial properties.
“Beside Ataria will be a convention centre. The resort will serve the convention centre besides accommodating people who will go for family outings at the water park,” he said.
Yoong also said close to 2,000 residential units were also planned for BSRC and would be launched in stages, with the first one expected to be in the next two months.
He said BSRC was a replica of Sentoria’s Bukit Gambang Resort City in Kuantan, Pahang.
“BSRC’s attraction is its unique location. It is surrounded by lush greenery and located near the river mouth, close to the South China Sea.
“In addition, our focus is on family outings and activities,” he said.
BSRC has a planned gross development value (GDV) of RM2bil. The first stage with a GDV of RM500mil will be launched progressively over the next three years.
